Low Carbon Corrugate
The conversion of paper into corrugated sheet board requires energy. At CorrBoard our jointly owned facility, this process is powered by renewable energy from CorrBoard Bioenergy, our neighbouring waste-to-energy plant.
This enables us to produce low carbon corrugated board for our divisions and fitments. The corrugator itself operates within a custom-built eco enclosure which reduces energy consumption by 40 percent compared to traditional systems.
Making it Circular
Corrugated sheet board is a natural, biodegradable alternative to fossil-based packaging. Made using paper and starch derived from wheat or maize, it offers a responsible and renewable solution for protective packaging.
Corrugated paper packaging is 100 percent recyclable, with fibres that can be reused up to 25 times. The corrugated industry is sustainable by design, circular by nature and continually advancing through innovation.
CorrBoard UK, our sheet board supply partner, allows us to manufacture low carbon corrugate using electricity generated from food and drink waste.
A Closed-Loop Solution
McLaren Divisions is the only UK packaging company offering a truly circular solution for paper-based packaging.
Through our partnership with CorrBoard, we make it possible for your packaging waste to help power the production of your next generation of corrugated protective packaging.
