UN Race to Net Zero

Protective packaging plays a vital role in preventing product loss, reducing waste and supporting sustainable supply chains. At McLaren Divisions, sustainability is built into every division, partition and solidboard solution we create.

As part of the McLaren group, we have signed the SME Climate Commitment and joined the United Nations’ Race to Zero campaign. This requires us to demonstrate year-on-year progress towards ambitious climate goals.

Sustainable. For Life

Our commitments are clear:

  • Halve our greenhouse gas emissions before 2030
  • Achieve net zero emissions before 2050
  • Disclose our progress on a yearly basis

Our progress so far:

With our Sustainable For Life culture, we ensure protective packaging is not only strong and reliable but also designed with circularity in mind. Initiatives include:

  • Installation of solar panels to provide renewable energy across our manufacturing sites
  • Investment in recycling equipment that allows us to reuse materials and support a circular economy
  • Creation of Green Ambassador roles to champion sustainable behaviours across our workforce
  • Investment in nature-based solutions that actively remove emissions from the atmosphere
